asbestos blanket
Asbestos in house, need details.?
My house was built in 1974 and I live on Tierra St. Fremont, Ca. Anyone have any info on whether my house might have asbestos or not? I have popcorn ceiling in the house. I’m really scared I might be living under a blanket of asbestos. Anyone know anywhere else asbestos might be found around the household so I can avoid it?
wow that is scary, asbestos lines floors… So I’m hoping that everyday activities won’t release the fibers in the air?
Oh and we’ve been living in this house for 5 years and my mom got lung cancer. I head it takes 14 years for asbestos to do damage to your lungs. But I can’t help but think could it be related?
yeah you do.
pre 80 houses have asbestos lining floor, ceiling, plumbing and outer cladding. If you leave it alone everything will be fine but if you go tearing it down with hammers and stuff then your in trouble. You better check with your local demolition guy.

Doubt this has anything to do with lung cancer. The disease from this is called asbestosis or something. Its hard to release fibres of the asebstos unless you physically put a jack hammer through it or smash it with a hammer
