asbestos blown insulation
what kinds of insulation contain asbestos?
does the blow in insulation from back in the 50’s contain asbestos? or if it was before 70’s my grandpas attic has it in the side lofts n its a live in attic. plus does old regular insulation contain cus u can see that in the lofts too. should i be concerned? thank you
THe ONLY way to know if it contains asbestos is to have it tested. Blown in may be fiberglass, cellulose (paper), asbestos or any mix of these. You can find a local lab to have it tested. They will tell you how to take the sample.
