asbestos siding
Has anyone ever had asbestos siding removed?
I know that it is a job for the pros, but I am just trying to figure out a ballpark price for a prospected remodeling job. The home is just over 1000 sq ft. What did you pay and how long did it take? Did the people who removed it also put up your new siding?

My contractor put it right over the asbestos siding. I think it’s ok plus it saves you money.
I think the alarm for asbestos is sorta overrated. Breathing in the dust over a long period of time in a confined area can be hazardous ….. but that is so with many elements. Asbestos siding is normally painted over a few times and sealed .
Oh well ….. I say if your contractor can go right over it … let him do so. Its a great fire barrier and like layers of clothing ….. helps to insulate from the outside elements.
