Emphysema is not curable and there really are no effective remedies. The no 1 cause is smoking so the best thing to do if you haven’t is to stop smoking. Then there are daily therapies such as Nebulizer treatments. Spiriva and Advair are good to add to the regemin. Also there have been some good results that I’ve heard from a few docs on taking oral Theophylline too. Then theres Oxygen which is almost a given in these COPDers (yes thats where someone with Emphysema falls) But to be honest. The best thing anyone with the disease can do is STOP SMOKING!!!!
