lung cancer or bronchitis

lung cancer or bronchitis
Is it possible I have lung cancer?

I am 18 years old. I have smoked 2 packs a day since my 15th birthday. I have been diagnosed every year since then with chronic bronchitis. Recently I coughed up small amounts of blood in my mucus, which varies between light and dark green, to dry cough. Every time I am diagnosed with bronchitis, I continue to cough up blood in varying amounts. I have been feeling fatigued for a long time, and recently my back and shoulders have been sore. I have had trouble breathing, loss of appetite, weight loss, and a pressure and ache in my chest. I have been exposed to second-hand smoke for most of my life. Tomorrow I am going in to get my chest x-rayed, and frankly I’m scared. Judging by the perfect storm of symptoms I have, is it possible, or even likely, that I have lung cancer?

Anything is possible, but I doubt you have lung cancer. Bronchitis fits everything you mentioned why would you think this could be incorrect? Lung cancer rarely occurs in young people and by young I mean under 40. When it does it is not from smoking. Only 0.2% of all lung cancers occur between 20-34 years old. 0% under 20 years old.
